How to get started?

Technical overview

A standard interface, such as DICOM, is available, and HL7, FHIR – as well as other open standardized interfaces – are coming to support partners in developing applications and services within the environment of the Siemens Healthineers Digital Ecosystem.

A broad range of APIs is provided allowing seamless development and integration with Siemens Healthineers Digital Ecosystem and to connect healthcare data.

APIs available for:

  • Single sign-on
  • Licensing management
  • User roles and user permissions
  • Plug-in for teamplay receiver to collect and to send your own data types
  • Interface for DICOM images access
  • Submitting customers’ specific reports and results to users
  • Keeping users informed through status indicators

The first two procedural protocols that are available include: Balloon Angioplasty and Complex Spine Surgery with the C-Arm. Additional protocols will be available.

10Prerequisites include: Compatible with all HTML5 supporting browsers! Internet connection required. mediCAD® Web is not commercially available.

11There is no software or hardware needed. This is a service.

12Prerequisites include: an electronic health record system, or a desktop or laptop computer capable of accessing the internet with a modern web browser. Adherence to local data security regulations.
